The team you will be working with

Andreas is CEO and an engineer at Vastec. He works across material flow and process problems, with a particular focus on understanding the client problem, developing the technical approach, and turning analysis into practical engineering decisions.

He holds an MSc and a Licentiate of Technology in solid mechanics, with research in full-scale DEM and wear modeling. He has several years of experience working hands-on with problems in the mining and processing industry, including mills, grinding circuits and transfer points.

Andreas holds a PhD in solid mechanics from Luleå University of Technology. He works on particle behavior and multiphase systems in applications such as mills, grinding circuits and transfer points.

He works on the engineering analysis and modeling of problems, to understand them, identify their underlying causes and evaluate potential solutions.

Jelle holds a PhD in fluid mechanics and has a background in hydropower. He specializes in CFD simulations of slurry, gas, and multiphase flows, with applications including tanks, distribution boxes, and process gas systems.

The projects he works on often involve complex phenomena such as heat transfer, chemical reactions, pressure losses, and, in some cases, process optimization and free-surface flow.
