Redesign of a chute on the main line to the stockpile

A chute on the main production line to the intermediate stockpile suffered from heavy wear.

We evaluated several designs against the process requirements and against maintenance: operating reliability, where the wear occurs, and how the chute can be maintained.

The results led to a new design with improved flow and reduced wear. The model was validated and captures the real behavior well.
