About Vastec
Vastec is a specialist engineering company based in Gällivare in northern Sweden. We work mainly with mining and mineral processing companies on problems where material behavior and fluid flow affect equipment, capacity, reliability or process performance.
Most of our work starts with a practical question from the plant. Something is wearing faster than expected, material is not flowing as it should, a process is limiting production, or a proposed change needs to be understood before it is implemented.
What drives us
We like problems where the answer is not obvious. Our work is about understanding what is actually happening, identifying what controls the behavior and helping the client decide what to do next.
We try to keep the way we work simple: understand the real problem, take responsibility for the work, communicate clearly and give recommendations that can be used in practice. The goal is not the model or the simulation itself, but a clearer understanding of the process and a practical engineering decision.
Where we work
Vastec Engineering AB has its office in Gällivare, in the Swedish mining district, with engineers also in Luleå. We work on sites across northern Sweden, Finland and Norway, and further afield when the project calls for it. Most sites are close enough for a same-day visit.
